IDTA Exams December 2019
Time & Location
About The Event
Children are invited to participate in their IDTA examinations this December providing that good attendance is maintained throughout the term. Poor attendance will result in the child not being prepared to the level in which we expect as a school, and of course our aim is for all children to perform to a level which will reflect their abilities.
Once booked, the exams are non refundable. We are not able to specify an exact time for an individual exam. Please therefore keep this date clear. As an OFQUAL registered body, we are able to provide letters excusing children from school if needs be.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Students need to wear their uniforms which should be clean and in impeccable conditions. Elastics must be sewn onto the ballet shoes in the correct place (the uniform which we provide already has this done for you). Tap shoes must have laces. Our full uniform for each grade can be seen via www.littlelondonballet.com/shop
Children wearing the wrong items will not be able to participate in their exam.
HAIR AND APPEARANCE:
Long hair must be neatly styled into a ballet bun. Short hair neatly combed and sprayed into place.
No make up, no jewellery, no tattoos and no nail varnish.
Stickers must not be worn on clothing or shoes.
A good tutorial for ballet buns can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUVmm9tzZs4
Please ensure you register your child with the name you would like to appear on the exam materials. Please check spellings. It does take a number of weeks to obtain the exam results, and then be sent the certificates and medals/rosettes. Once we are in possession of these items, we arrange a presentation day for children to receive their items.
